Description
Distilled in 2008, this single malt from Glentauchers spent 14 years maturing, including a finish in an oloroso sherry cask. The cask was opened by Murray McDavid in 2023, independently releasing a total of 262 bottles for its Benchmark collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Caramelised biscuits, runny caramel, spiced fruit, and candied nuts.
Palate
Marmalade and liquorice are joined by sultanas and honeyed dates. Hints of maple syrup and some peppery oak rest beneath.
Finish
Oily, buttery malt, dried citrus, a touch of cacao, and root ginger.
