Glenrothes 12yo TBWC Bottling Note

That Boutique-y Whisky Company has gone and bottled up another batch of Glenrothes single malt Scotch whisky! This time, the team has got its hands on a 12 year old expression which was finished in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, and it is marvellous indeed. The label references the various ghost stories that take place at the distillery, which is probably due to it being next door to the Rothes Cemetery. The ghosts don't have to go far for a good dram.

Batch 11 is a release of 516 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Milk chocolate digestive biscuits and Crunchie bars. Slightly herbaceous at points – think star anise and just a tiny touch of black tea.

Palate: Red apples, caramelised nuts, coconut ice, the hints of black tea remain.

Finish: Cooked plum with a dusting of nutmeg and ginger.
