The Glenrothes 10 Year Old 2012 (cask 170) - Infrequent Flyers (Alistair Walker)
A fantastic Glenrothes single malt has just landed. Distilled in 2012, it matured for 12 years in a single refill butt before being bottled at a punchy 62.8% ABV, without added colour or chill filtration, for the Alistair Walker Infrequent Flyers range. The cask type wasn't specified, but it's full of rich fruit notes, so our money's on sherry. Look at that colour too. Only 683 bottles of this Speysider were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Jammy red fruits, blackberries, leather, and toasted oak.
Palate
Dusty cocoa, with a touch of dark caramel, toasted almonds, and spiced apple chutney.
Finish
Spices build, with a touch of praline.
