Glenglassaugh 6yo #302 Bottling Note

From the Whisky Cellar's third selection of independently bottled whiskies comes a six year old single malt from the Glenglassaugh Distillery, which was drawn from a single first-fill Oloroso sherry quarter cask. Quarter casks are smaller than your run-of-the-mill hogshead, which allows for more interaction between the wood and the whisky, resulting in some interesting expressions – like this one! Only 148 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Strawberry trifle, soft oaky warmth with a prickle of peppery heat, malty vanilla.

Palate: Still has plenty of red fruit notes to enjoy, paired with flaky pastries and a hint of tropical fruit.

Finish: Biscuit dough, dried cranberry, and earthy herbs.
