Glenfarclas 8 Year Old

8 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the legendary Glenfarclas distillery, known around the world of their splendidly Sherried expressions. The Glenfarclas 8 Year Old leans more in the 'golden-barley-rich' direction, but Sherried malt continues to shine here too...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Diced-almond-topped apple pie, cinnamon, hay, honey and raisin.

Palate Nutty and buttery, with a little more grassiness too. Grows slightly chocolatey.

Finish Vanilla fudge dotted with raisins. Red apple slices.

Reviews for Glenfarclas 8 Year Old
Meh.
Expected some lightness, but once you get past the fruit it becomes quite dull. Nowhere close to being in the same league as the 105 bottling.

Wonderful!
Head and shoulders above the rest in it's class. Would certainly buy again.

Not bad
Its a young whisky and its very drinkable, sherry, slight rum on the nose. Light citrus, some pear/apple. Delicate wood. Didn't give it 5* as I felt it was a bit light all-round but it's very passable and worth a try. Great price point.
