Glen Grant 63yo 1959

This impressively aged single malt from Glen Grant was distilled in 1959 and matured for 63 years in a single first-fill sherry butt. It was bottled in 2022 at a naturally robust cask strength of 56.5% ABV. A limited number of 368 bottles were released, joining the third in the Mr. George Legacy series from independent bottlers Gordon & MacPhail, which celebrates George Urquhart; second-generation owner of Gordon & MacPhail, and founder of its Connoisseurs Choice series.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose Fragrant autumnal spice aromas intertwine with sweet dried fruit and Demerara sugar. Soft citrus zest comes to the fore alongside beeswax polish and walnut.

Palate Stewed red fruit flavours lead to Seville orange with a hint of garden mint. Tart raspberry notes develop accompanied by cocoa powder and mature oak.

Finish A full finish with lingering cinnamon and forest fruits.
