Glen Grant have added a 16 year old single malt expression to their range, aged in bourbon casks. It's bursting with intense orchard fruits, making it a supremely refreshing Speyside whisky.
Warm pears and apples with a soft, creamy centre. Grassy notes too.
Pear drops, vanilla ice cream and a subtle but sharp hint of kiwi.
Medium length, fresh but dry.
A very good addition to Glen Grant's whisky cabinet, and to ours indeed.
Lovely smooth silky drink, fruity with vanilla notes.
Smells like a fresh nice pear, doused in honey and vanilla. Sliced apple, long thick grass. Medium light golden with decent legs. On the taste it's vanilla, buttery, floral, and bosc pear. Lingering slightly minty, numbing wooden dryness and honeyed aftertaste. Good stuff!
Buttery, creamy, fruity, orchard fruit, rich honey, vanilla and cut grass gorgeousness! . Bought two bottles at the distillery, gutted to hear it's only available there now until stocks run out. Should definitely have bought three not two bottles!!. Saying that the 18 should be equally amazing.
It is a great dram. will be missed, read it will be replaced with 18 years. Cant wait to get my hand on it.
