Fettercairn 14yo 2007 Bottling Note

A fab indie bottling from Fettercairn, distilled in 2007 and matured for 14 years in a pair of refill American oak casks. After this rest, the casks were cracked open by Thompson Bros. to produce a total of 508 bottles. You could say that makes this rather scarce, much like the rainbow-maned unicorn on the label. Don't see them wandering about all too often.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet roasted nuts, stone fruits, and a whiff of grassy malt with wafts of vanilla sponge and baking spice.

Palate: Rich caramel and soft stewed fruits, oaken vanilla, and roasted malt with hints of milky coffee.

Finish: Oily barley, baked walnuts, sweet honey and gently herbaceous spice.
