A cask strength Ballechin, which is another name for a heavily peated Edradour single malt! This one was distilled in April 2007 and left to mature in an Oloroso sherry cask for the next 12 years. In July 2019 the whisky was deemed ready, and so it was bottled for the Straight From The Cask series at 57.8% ABV. The 984 bottles were bottled without any colouring or the like, so all that brilliant colour (and flavour) comes... Straight from the cask.
Fresh espresso, dusty cocoa, lots of sherry influence bringing juicy fruity aromas and lots of peat smoke.
Dark chocolate covered forest fruit, with berry conserve, honeyed malt cereal, aromatic smoke and a touch of pine.
Dark, rich molasses notes, with a bright berry note and lingering peat smoke.
