The classic 12 year old blend from Dewars, this stuff is the successor to Dewar's "Double Aged" 12 Year Old - so named in reference to the additional six month marriage the whisky enjoys in oak after the initial maturation and blending. The practice is maintained despite the name change and the result is loads of flavour…
A heady note of juicy fruit and thick, creamy malt. Rather floral, and quite sweet with notes of toasted barley, almond and a tinge of honey.
The palate is perfectly poised with notes of barley malt, hot buttered toast, a little honey, and some aniseed spiciness.
A touch of smoke on the tail, alongside plenty of thick malt and sweetness.

Excellent whisky. Great fruity flavours and smooth finish. Excellent value for money.
Amazing... has a strong taste of single malt within its wonderful blend base. My new favorite - kudos!
I like this a lot and a lot more than the 15yr old, which seems bitter and acidic by comparison.
Very good in my taste.
This has been my cheapest go-to that I buy. It's decent, but the last two times I've bought it, it takes more like White Label than the 12 year. I have a feeling they ran low on their quality ingredients and mixed in a bunch of the white label. In fact, I have a glass sitting next to me that I've been swirling for the last 30 minutes, added a drop or two of water... nothing is making that terrible White Label corn taste go away. !BEWARE! - If you get an older batch, it will probably be good. If you get a recent batch, it will probably taste like White Label. I will be contacting Dewars and will remove this review once I have confirmed that they have remediated the problem, or the bad batch has run its course.
