This single malt was distilled at Dalwhinnie in 1992 and underwent a finish in oloroso sherry casks before it was bottled in 2010. A charming find for an old bottle collection.

Green and oaky with notes of sweet vanilla, nutmeg and sultana. Hints of redcurrants and barley.
Hints of bitter oak, creamy malt and custard. Redcurrants and a compote made thereof, a little manuka honey, some charred oak and cinnamon.
Spicy and very fruity, almost tangy with hints of lavender honey.
I bought this with high expectations. I like the 15yr old but was really disappointed with this bottling. It is far to sweet for me and does not carry the depth of flavour you would expect from an 18. Save your money!
