A delicious Darkness Dalmore! This expression from the incredible distillery in the Highlands was matured for 16 years, including a stint in a tiny Oloroso sherry octave cask, before being bottled up as part of the Darkness range. The small octave cask allows for more interaction between the wood and the whisky, due to the increased surface area to volume ratio, resulting in oodles of sherried notes imparted to the spirit. Which, as we said before, is delicious. We stand by that assessment.
