Decadent Dailuiane from Murray McDavid, finished in a bourbon quarter cask from Koval distillery in Chicago! Subtitled 'Creamy & Sweet', that pretty much sums up the flavour profile of this single malt, which was bottled for the Cask Craft range, which aims to make it easier to drinkers to explore the influence of different wood finishes on Scotch whisky.
Nose: Apple crumble and custard, fresh thyme, and underripe pear.
Palate: Banana ice cream, cinnamon butter, and vanilla, with zingy green apple bringing balance.
Finish: A drizzle of caramel over crisp stone fruit.
