Dailuaine 8 Year Old 2011 - Hepburn's Choice (Langside)
A marvellous single cask indie bottling from Dailuaine, this expression was distilled in 2011 and allowed eight years to mature in a bourbon barrel. In 2020, the team at Langside opened up the cask, releasing a total of 305 bottles for the Hepburn's Choice collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sugar dusted lemon shortbread, vanilla custard, toasted wood shavings.
Palate
Oaty raisins cookies, creamy with a touch of grilled banana, buttery caramel balances subtly herbal notes.
Finish
Sweet, creamy vanilla continues, but notes of vegetal malt poke through with green herbal notes to balance the rich, cakey spice.
