An indie bottling of Cotswolds single malt from The Heart Cut. Distilled in 2018, the English whisky rested in a single American oak cask until 2023 when a total outturn of 362 bottles were released.
This single cask expression is simply outstanding. As a huge fan of the Cotswolds Distillery it comes as no surprise the quality of which this bottle delivers. The nose is rich initially i find dark fruits followed by a subtle sweetness that settles in to lightly toasted marshmallow. The pallet delivers too With warm rich mouthfeel and flavours of candied banana maple pecans and soft baking spice on the finish The finish I find to be medium-long and smooth. A much welcomed addition to the shelf and would love to grab another bottle before it’s all gone .
