Single Malt

A wonderfully fruity Bunnahabhain here, distilled back in September 2007. It spent the first nine years of its maturation in refill hogsheads, until it was transferred to Port pipes for a finishing period. At 11 years old, the single malt was bottled at cask strength.
Pear and almond tart, with a mixture of baking spice, honeyed dried fruit, orange peel and Turkish delight. nutmeg, almonds, sweet malt, honey, a mix of cherry and ripe raisins, a touch of orange exotic spice, pear, rose water, roasted nuts and dark berries
Distinctive aniseed notes, juicy raisin and toffee, with sour cherry and vanilla pod leading into oak spice and white flowers.
Lots of Port influence lingering, supported by roasted nuts and warming spices.
