Nose: Vibrant and fruity at first, dried apricot, fruit salad with Tunnock's Caramel wafers. The grassy straw notes and hint of smoke you may expect are still very much here though, adding complexity, with greater coastal salinity and smoke developing in the glass.
Palate: Whoosh! Big sooty notes lead but there's still plenty of fruit to savour, more fruit salad, melon, orange, kiwi, balanced with salinity.
Finish: The smoke becomes more prominent throughout, driving a very, very long finish where fruit still plays its part, with caramel returning also after a few seconds.
Overall: A stunning Brora, absolutely full of flavour, sure to delight fans of this legendary distillery and newcomers alike.
