Single Malt
Master of Malt
Scotland

The Brackla distillery was bestowed its regal prefix in 1835 by King William IV and, almost 200 years later, we got our hands on a big old refill butt of its royally delicious single malt. Distilled in 2011, this single malt matured for 11 years, before a total of 682 bottles were drawn from the cask in 2022.

Gorgeously rich, sweet malt, chocolate caramel Digestive biscuits, honeyed almonds, and cherry Madeira cake. More cooked stone fruits join soft chocolate ice cream.
It makes a royal entrance with huge helpings of juicy oak and sweet, roasted barley. Maple syrup, praline and pepper tangle while vanilla cream and poached plums joined by creamy notes of Caramac.
Malt and spice take hold, with tickles of nutmeg and crystalised ginger, slightly burnt biscuits, chocolate toffees, and robust oak.

The richness and sweetness of this whisky makes it perfect for an Old Fashioned. In my opinion the best Old Fashioned you can have!
Dark toffee nose with hints of vanilla and marzipan. Stunning entrance to the palate with sweet spice, pepper, almonds and wood. Smooth sweet finish with more pepper, burnt orange zest and marzipan
Utterly delicious, warming, big bear hug of a whisky, that's it and that's all and I will be back!!!
Sweet and smooth. Out of the bottle it's quite a narrow taste sensation. Give it some water - more than normal, even for cask strength. It widens out.
Did not realise that this was a jaw dropping 60% drop of whisky but well worth the endeavour. Long on the palate so buyer beware
