Benromach Organic 2011 (bottled 2018)
The inaugural Benromach Organic was a world's first, and subsequent expressions certainly haven't disappointed. This expression was distilled in 2011 using organically certified Scottish barley, and matured in virgin American oak casks before being bottled at 43% ABV. Lovely Speyside goodness.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sweet vanilla and malt aromas, caramelised banana, tangy pineapple and a touch of orange zest.
Palate
More sweet malt, creamy mocha and dark chocolate, with sweet banana and lemon zest with a little oak spice and peppery heat.
Finish
Toasty oak, lemon peel and a good crack of black pepper.
