Sherry
Single cask Benromach distilled in 2011. It matured in a first fill sherry hogshead for a decade before it was selected by La Maison Du Whisky and bottled at a very generous 60.1% ABV. Only 311 bottles were produced.
Lovely sherry character, raisins, some almonds, brown sugar and the like.
Rich fruit cake and warm spices, along with candied orange peel, and some oaky vanilla.
Dried fruit lingers, with some woody spice.
