A splendid single malt from Benrinnes, matured for a dozen years and finished in a first-fill bourbon barrel. It was released by independent bottler Dràm Mòr, who bottled it up at a robust 53.7% ABV.
Delicately floral malt, buttery, flaky pastries, a touch of marzipan and cider apples.
Vibrant, fresh orchard fruits with a touch of funky tang, spiced fruit cake follows before dryer kitchen spice and sandalwood join.
Tingles of warmth edge in, with earthen vanilla resting in the depths.
