A UK exclusive single cask bottling from the wonderful BenRiach distillery! This one is an 18 year old single malt Scotch whisky which was allowed to age in a single bourbon barrel from June 1997 to September 2015. Following its maturation, it was bottled with an outturn of just 167 bottles, boasting an ABV of 59.5% ABV.
Add some water, little by little, not at once. It will reveal some very surprising notes of tarte tatin, vanilla and slowly there it is, oak-spicy with a little peppery. In the finish, rather long, there are some fresh fruits notes, maybe green apple and lime. A delight!
