Distilled at Benriach in 2011, this single malt spent the next 11 years maturing in a single bourbon cask. The cask was opened by House of MacDuff in 2023, releasing a total of 263 bottles for The Golden Cask collection.
Buttery shortbread and vanilla custard lead, with biscuity malt, melted chocolate, and toasted oak in tow.
Chocolatey malt joins creamy fudge, with waves of vanilla and oak char, runny caramel, and delicately spiced butter biscuits.
Some spice arrives towards the end, with candied ginger and a touch of nutmeg, though that creamy vanilla lingers.
