Smoky single malt Scotch whisky from Benriach, independently bottled by Italy's Hidden Spirits. This heavily peated expression was distilled in 2010 and aged in an ex-bourbon barrel for ten years, before eventually being bottled up at 52.2% ABV. Looks like there's a painting of some lavender fields on the label too.
Earthy smoke right from the start, dotted with hints of caramel and barley.
Still richly peaty, with drying spices bolstering the smoke.
A hint of treacle underneath the peat grows on the finish.
