BenRiach Horizons

A triple distilled (!) whisky from BenRiach. This high strength 12 year old is aged in bourbon and finished in sherry casks. This is one of just a handful of its kind, and the first BenRiach to be triple distilled. Very interesting indeed, and at 12 years old and at 50% there's oodles of complexity.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Big and creamy with marzipan, Brazil nuts and a waft of melting Toblerone chocolate bars.

Palate Hazelnuts, walnuts, Brazil nuts and almonds with a sensually light body. 

Finish Creamy and silky, honey and a few more hazelnuts.

Overall BenRiach fares well with triple distillation. The body is soft but in no way lacking flavour. Spectacularly nutty and creamy.

Excellent flavor, taste and mouth feel
Outstanding whisky. Smooth, warm, creamy, excellent finish. Taste of caramel, vanilla, cream and smooth spices. Just a great drink and finish too.
