Something rather marvellous from Barrell Craft Spirits in Louisville, Kentucky! This blend combines a selection of Kentucky and Tennessee bourbon, aged for up to 18 years. The barrels for this release were selected from four different collections – a batch with rich cherry, nutty notes, another with spicy, tropical fruit characteristics, one with pronounced herbal and dark chocolate notes, and one with oak-forward coconut notes. The final group underwent a secondary maturation in new toasted American oak casks before being added to the intricate blend.
Bright and fruity with layer upon layer of sweet, tangy citrus and juicy tropical fruit, toasted coconut, praline, and charred oak.
Dense old oak rests at the core, with waves of warming clove and creamy vanilla. A touch of cigar box spice, walnuts, candied cherries and a touch of sweet fresh mint.
Gently herbaceous for the finish, with warming spice tempered by creamy vanilla, white chocolate buttons, and a touch of nougat.
