A tasty Speyside single malt from the Balmenach Distillery! This one was distilled in 2001 and left to age in an American oak cask. Before Murray McDavid bottled the whisky, it saw a finish in a bourbon barrel. It was released for the Benchmark bottling series at 50.9% ABV.
Very malty, with underripe nectarine, freshly baked croissant and salted caramel.
Spicy oak and brown sugar, with pear tart and cinnamon pastries.
Chai-spiced chocolate and vanilla shortbread.
