Ardmore 8 Year Old 2011 (cask 335) - The Cooper's Choice (The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.)
Hark, an indie Ardmore! This one was distilled back in 2011 and aged in an American oak cask initially, before being moved over to a Sauternes wine cask. At 8 years of age, it was bottled up by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. as part of The Cooper's Choice range. 330 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toasted sesame seeds, melted butter and a hint of smoked meats.
Palate
Hazelnut, charred oak, peach and pineapple.
Finish
Bonfire embers and a touch of caramel.
