An indie Ardbeg - always exciting stuff! This is a 12 year old single malt from the Islay-based distillery, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. Once again it features Geert Bero, Ardbeg collector and proprietor of the legendary Ardbeg Bar at Hotel Bero, on the label.
Batch 14 is a release of 1,928 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Frazzles, black pepper, a hint of caraway.

As an Ardbeg Fan I was eager to try this 12 Year Old expression and I was not disappointed. It has all the flavour and character you would associate with an Ardbeg but it had a kind of freshness on the palate that was really enjoyable. I'll be cracking open my full bottle this weekend.
