Dive into a treat from the River of Milk - Allt-á-Bhainne! This is our bottling of 17 year old single malt from Allt-á-Bhainne, aged in a single refill hogshead from March 1993 to December 2015. It was bottled with no chill-filtration or additional colours, and presented at cask strength.
A gentle, subtle dram - nutty, milk chocolate and with summer fruits: strawberries, raspberries, fresh orange and cake mix. With water there’s prominent soft caramel.
Cinnamon spice, more milk chocolate, strawberries and cream, apricots, raisins and sultanas with a creamy vanilla. With water the cinnamon jumps out of the glass.
A gentle spice, then a long strawberries and cream note with a vanilla trail.
Sweetly spiced with all things nice. Delicious.
Really nice. A little water opened it up very nicely.
