Another mystery release from Adelphi's Breath of the Highlands series! This one was, fairly obviously, produced at an undisclosed Highland distillery back in 2007. It spent over a decade in a single refill Pedro Ximénez sherry butt, and was bottled 12 years later in 2019. Only 556 limited bottles were released at cask strength, a healthy 52.7% ABV.
Nose Coffee and walnut cake, mince pies and clove-studded orange, with lots of dried fruit.
Palate Sticky toffee pudding, custard and liquorice, with mulled wine spices.
Finish Orange peel and a big hit of ginger spice, with oak in support.
