Highlands 12yo Adelphi Bottling Note

Another mystery release from Adelphi's Breath of the Highlands series! This one was, fairly obviously, produced at an undisclosed Highland distillery back in 2007. It spent over a decade in a single refill Pedro Ximénez sherry butt, and was bottled 12 years later in 2019. Only 556 limited bottles were released at cask strength, a healthy 52.7% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Coffee and walnut cake, mince pies and clove-studded orange, with lots of dried fruit.

Palate: Sticky toffee pudding, custard and liquorice, with mulled wine spices.

Finish: Orange peel and a big hit of ginger spice, with oak in support.
