The Casg Annamh series from Aberlour takes its name from the Gaelic for "rare cask", and each expression is matured in a combo of European oak sherry casks and American oak casks. It's bottled at 48% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Espresso, liquorice, nutmeg, dates, and sherry-stained oak.

Palate Red cola cubes, Brazil nuts, figs, honey, and dark chocolate.

Finish Sultanas and flapjacks.

Beautiful
At cask strength it requires a little water or a small ice cube to make this whisky come alive in my opinion., but when it does the depth of flavour is truly outstanding!!! I hope future batches are just as delicious.
