We can't actually ship Aberlour A'Bunadh Batch 71 to the United States at the moment (although we're working hard to fix that). In the meantime, our friends over at The Whisky Shop might be able to help you out. Thank you for your support and understanding 🙂 -The folks at Master of Malt

It's Aberlour's ever-popular A'Bunadh single malt Scotch whisky! This expression is matured entirely in Spanish Oloroso sherry butts, bestowing huge helpings of dried fruit and festive spice notes to the whisky, after which it's bottled up at full-on cask strength with no chill-filtration. You're looking at A'Bunadh batch #71 right here, which has been bottled at 61.5% ABV.
Nose: Seville orange marmalade, burnt sugar, malt loaf with a hint of butter, cassia.
Palate: A rush of dried fruit and ginger, followed by honey, more orange, and a smidge of red chilli flake.
Finish: Flame raisins, anise, mocha, and black pepper.

I’ve been waiting to tackle this baby monster for a while. Just got my tentacles around it… All too often, disappointment follows in the heels of expectation - But not here. This is a wow and a half! I should try it with a dash of water. Someday.

Not sure how this resembles Balvenie Doublewood. First to the nose and palate is raisins, followed by the dried fruit as described by the tasting notes above.

If you like Balvenie doublewood, this is the next step. It’s incredible - much more body and finish.Agree with the tasting notes above: honey, orange, butter, raisins, and the deftest touch of smoke.
