It has been a long ol' while since That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottled their first batch of Aberfeldy single malt - but that all changes with the launch of their second batch of Aberfeldy! This time it has an age statement (it's 21 years old), but it still features the smiling face of Ian Buxton, striking gold in Aberfeldy's water source, the Pitlie Burn.
Batch 2 is a release of 261 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Meaty malt with a light touch of smoke, juxtaposed with vanilla ice cream and bright orange.
Buttery at first, though soon enough you're treated to mature oak and lip-smacking honey notes.
A slow rumble of savoury cooking spice develops on the finish.
