From Bristol-based Circumstance (sister distillery of the equally adventurous Psychopomp Microdistillery) comes Rye, which you may have guessed, is a rye-based spirit! Its mash bill consists of 51% rye and 49% malted barley, fermented using mead and distillers yeasts. After, the spirit is aged in both English oak spindles and first fill bourbon casks which were previously used to aged Big Red Robe oolong tea leaves. Now that's certainly not something you see every day!
Clean, spicy rye, with fresh floral notes, parma violets and cinnamon-spiced apple turnover.
