This right here is a bottling of pot-distilled single barrel rum from Jamaica's New Yarmouth Distillery, distilled back in 2005. It was matured in Jamaica until 2012, when it was shipped over to the UK to mature further. In 2017 it went on another journey, this time to Denmark, and it would eventually be bottled in 2020. It was released for the Vidya range, featuring a name and label (illustrated by London artist Aaron Godwin-Lamptey) referencing the River Mumma, a story in Jamaican folklore. 255 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Raisin, banana chips, bright funky notes developing later on with a touch of cut grass underneath, a slow build of vanilla-rich oak.
