The Sassenach Gin

Outlander's Sam Heughan has managed to capture (and distil) the essence of Scotland's rugged landscapes with this addition to his Sassenach spirits range – Wild Scottish Gin! This London dry style gin is distilled with an array of foraged botanicals from the Dumfries and Galloway region of Scotland, where Heughan grew up.

A core of Scottish juniper is supported by rhubarb, heather, pine resin, bramble leaf, blaeberry, crabapple, and toasted oats to create a well-balanced classic that'll shine in a trusty G&T, garnished with a slice of apple. This gin has been winning awards left right and centre, including gold at the 2023 New York World Wine & Spirits Competition, the Singapore World Spirits Competition, the Spirits Business Autumn Tasting, and the Beverage Testing Institute.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Juniper takes the lead, while soft waves of orchard fruit and florals balance delicate pine, bound by creamy, soft notes of soaked oats.

Reviews for The Sassenach Wild Scottish Gin
The only gin for me now
This gin tastes wonderful. The flavour of the wild Scottish Botanicals is amazing. I have never drunk so much gin in my life and everyone who has tried feels the same. On my second bottle now. Will keep on buying.

Absolutely lovely
I really love this gin. It’s bright and fresh tasting in a way that it can make an excellent cocktail or stand all on its own with just an ice cube and nothing more. Kudos, Sam, this is definitely a favourite now.

Sassenach Wild Scottis Gin
Love this gin! The orchard fruits and different botanicals make a great change from other citrus based gins, giving it the difference needed to stand alone. With the recommended green apple garnish and a good tonic this is a refreshing and delicious drink. I've ordered twice from Australia and hope it will be available here soon!

Excellent Service
I ordered 3 bottles of Sassenach Gin as gifts for family . Everything about the process was professional, time to arrive, how the bottles were packaged, and a follow up to ascertain how I felt about your product.
Once I taste the gin I will review 😋

Sassenach Gin - I Hate Juniper …
… which is why I adore THIS gin. For me the first tasting notes are those of pine, & after a deep inhale, it’s the rhubarb along with the crab apple. Drunk only with a wee bit of ice (because I bloody detest tonic), the mouth feel is amazing. The fact that it is cold brewed ensures that the flavours are sublime and subtle — not charging around the mouth like an insane moth. This drink is so distinctly different, it has created a new category for those of us who cannot abide ‘gin’. Slàinte

Roll on summer
I’ve recently discovered gins & am enjoying this one. Really lovely flavour & am not surprised it’s winning awards everywhere. Great as a simple G&T but also really good in cocktails.

Very good
I love it. I use Fever Tree rhubarb and raspberry tonic water as a mixer and it tastes amazing. Will definitely buy more and the price is good.
