Shetland Reel Ocean Sent

A special edition of Shetland Reel Gin, made on the Sheltand island of Unst, which is made with seaweed! Harvested locally, they wash it and dry it before distilling it alongide some of their regular botanicals which include juniper, coriander seed, orris root, cassia bark, citrus peel and apple mint - all grown on the island. Ocean Sent is also bottled at a pleasing 49%.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Juniper and sea salt laden freshness as well as some coriander spice.

Palate Once again there's classic dry juniper, and spice augmented by a lick of the coast.

Finish Pine and juniper on a coastal cliff.

UK's most northern gin
Actually bought this from the distillery on the Gin Trip - I would recommend very friendly but you do need a designated driver!
This really is a fantastic gin the seaweed botanical just adds a really something extra - just add a good basic tonic and a strand of rosemary close your eyes and you can smell and hear the waves

Gorgeous
This gin is just gorgeous, not sweet, perfect with Mediterranean tonic & grapefruit. I normally go for Mermaid gin or Botanist gin, (Bombay if there's literally no other options) and I can't stand sweet or flavoured gins, if that helps you deciding! If you've never had a coastal gin, this is a good one to go for.
