Those wonderful folks at the Cooper King have created a classic, juniper-led, and carbon-negative(!) dry gin! Some of the botanicals used were foraged from its own site, including fresh lemongrass, locally grown lavender and even its own honey.
Something that's really very cool about this gin is the innovative distillation process. Cooper King is one of only a handful of distilleries in the country to cold-vacuum-distil its gin, a tailored approach which is designed to suit the botanicals so that the most well-rounded, fresh and oily flavours can be extracted.
What's more, the distillery is run on 100% green energy! Cooper King has joined the international environmental initiative 1% For The Planet, and will be donating 1% of the gin's annual sales to charity. Not only that, but the distillery removes 1kg more CO2e from the atmosphere than it emits by working with a verified offsetting scheme, and plants 1 square metre of UK native woodland, for each bottle sold.
Cooper King is based in the heart of Yorkshire, founded in 2016 by Dr Abbie Neilson and Chris Jaume following a journey across Tasmania to visit all the Tassie whisky distilleries.

I am very new to trying gin as it hasn’t ever been a particularly pleasant experience for me until trying Cooper King. This gin is second to none, a pleasant experience and a taste sensation.
Absolutely fantastic gin, a little bit spicy, a little bit floral, and a tiny bit fruity. The perfect all-rounder with a sprig of Rosemary and slice of cucumber!
Bought a bottle today from your stall at the food festival in York. It’s a sensational flavour. I’m drinking it neat with a cube of ice. Fantastic job I applaud your efforts in a big market. Good luck...
Absolutely fabulous gin! I love it with ice, splash of tonic, sprig of rosemary and slice of lime. Perfection!
I'm not usually a big gin fan but this is so smooth and tasty. The bottle is beautiful too!
