Reviews for Metaxa 12 Stars
Not as good as 7 stars
I go to the Greek islands on holiday and this is the brandy I drink. Metaxa 5 and 7 stars much better
I can remember when the 12 star came out and it was too expensive even in duty free but has halved in price over the years. Still a lovely brandy

Lovely tipple.
My go to brandy in this price range. I have been a fan for many years, long may it continue.

Gorgeous stuff
Have loved Metaxa for years - smooth, warming and excellent for soothing a ticklish throat (cough! cough!). A shot glass full as an aperitif or a digestif goes down a treat.

Why didn’t anybody tell me about this?
Smooth and delightfully flavoursome. Distinctive. Not astringent.
Not vaporous. Not sweet. I wish I had discovered it years ago.

Not to be missed from your CV.
I have just discovered this and wish somebody had put me onto it years ago. It is similar to Spanish brandy in many ways, but smoother, more complicated and more interesting. Anyone who likes brandy should give this a try.

Top of it's game, actual perfection
This is my go to brandy, it's refined excellence in a glass. It's fallen drastically in price the last few years, so in my view it's incredibly cheap given the quality. This is a brandy never to be mixed, it's far too good to drown out any of it's excellence with a mixer or god forbid a cocktail! A single bolder ice cube is sufficient, allow it to stand in order to chill slightly. Always store somewhere lower than room temperature where possible. It's totally a winter drink/winter warmer, although it's one of my favourite tipples I wouldn't want it in the summer. The only way I can explain the notes is rich, indulgent, deep, dark chocolate in the mouth but after as you breath in and feel it's warmth you can smell a heady perfume. It's super smooth and far too easy to drink. Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without this one, once you've brought a bottle it will become your tradition! Superior to all other leading Brandy's but sadly undiscovered by the masses.
