Description

A multi-award-winning brandy, St Rémy XO was first introduced to the market back in 1990. It's produced from grapes from some rather well-known vineyards in France, including Burgundy, Champagne, Rhône Valley, Languedoc Roussillon, Loire Valley, Bordeaux and Beaujolais. The brandy is then aged in small French oak barrels before bottling at 40% ABV. A versatile tipple that's fabulous neat or in any cocktails which call for a brandy.

Vanilla pod and candied ginger, dried fruit, praline, aromatic wood spice and apricot jam.

A budget gateway to the opposing end of the spectrum.

Yes

I approached this with a rather sniffy snobbishness, thinking of it as a downmarket offshoot of the prestiious Remy St Martin. But it is gentle,tasteful and most enjoyable. I leave technicalities about regulated production methods to the cognoscenti -- for me this is an excellent drink at a giveaway price.

Absolutely glorious at this price

£22...absolute steal. Yeah its not Fine Champagne cognac...but not sure a £50 bottle of 1738 or Hine is worth 2 bottles of this. Its really good...if you see a bottle just buy it, you will not be disappointed at this price!

Excellent

Just been given a bottle of this by my sister in law, she knows I like Remy XO or Hennessy XO always buy whichever is available when we can get it duty free on holiday, and she thought this was it. I didn't hold a lot of hope for it but after opening it and not doing having a drink before hand I was very surprised, I've just compared it to Remy XO I can tell the difference, but after a few beers and a meal I don't think most people could. I have just decanted it into a Hennessy XO bottle. The only problem I see is because of the cost I will drink more. Only drink my proper XO early in the night before having anything else to drink
