From the revived and rebranded Marquis de Montesquiou Armagnac range, now led by Monkey 47 creator Alexander Stein, comes the youngest of the range, a VS in which the youngest Armagnac in this blend was aged for at least one year. Although the spirit in here is on average three years old. The eau-de-vie was made from grapes sourced from the regions of Bas-Armagnac and Ténarèze.
Apple, apricot, caramel, vanilla, pastries, and banana flambée
A very smooth texture coats the mouth. Full-bodied, fresh, and fruit with a slight hint of black pepper.
Fresh and vibrant, this VS is a nascent fusion of wood and fruit.

I used to buy the old version of this Armagnac before the re-brand. This new version isn’t quite as nice, and it’s more expensive (50cl bottle). I won’t be buying it again.
