Every year, a set of whiskies drops that get collectors and connoisseurs equally twitchy with excitement: The Diageo Special Releases 2025.
This year’s line-up, Horizons Unbound, is no different, and we’re giving you the chance to win the whole lot. That’s eight single malts and one very rebellious single grain, each one hand-picked by master blender Dr Stuart Morrison, who clearly woke up one morning and decided that Scotch didn’t have to play by the rules anymore.
What’s in the collection?
This year’s releases push Scotch into bold new territory. Expect to see mezcal finishes, volcanic rock-toasted oak, and even Teaninich trying its hand at single grain whisky with rye in the mashbill.
Here’s the line-up:
The Singleton of Glen Ord 17 Year Old ‘Into the Blue’ – finished in ex-mezcal and second-fill sherry casks.
Talisker 14 Year Old ‘Molten Seas’ – matured in volcanic rock-toasted American oak.
Lagavulin 12 Year Old ‘Grain & Embers’ – layered with PX and Oloroso richness.
Oban 12 Year Old ‘Heart of the Harbour’ – coastal, citrusy, and bourbon-matured.
Dailuaine 21 Year Old ‘Marbled Treasures’ – sherry-soaked, rich, and rare.
Roseisle 14 Year Old ‘Harmonic Grace’ – elegant balance from refill and rejuvenated casks.
Clynelish 18 Year Old ‘Waxen Sun’ – tropical fruit and waxiness in perfect harmony.
Teaninich 8 Year Old ‘Daring Rye’ – a distillery-first single grain experiment with rye.
