Château du Tariquet's L’Armagnac du Centenaire is a fabulous Bas-Armagnac distilled from a variety of grapes. These include Folle Blanche for elegance and fragrance, Ugni Blanc for freshness and delicacy, and Baco for power. The spirit was aged for between 10 and 30 years before it was bottled in May of 2012 to celebrate the brand's 100th anniversary. Only 2,012 bottles were made.
Nose: Rich, intense spices, dried apricots and rose petals. Peppery and slightly sweet with a hint of cinnamon. Very inviting.
Palate: Creamy honey and all kinds of fruit and spice. Hints of truffle, allspice and butterscotch.
Finish: Baked apples, baking spices and cigar leaves. A very spicy, almost musty finish.
Overall: An intense and spicy Armagnac with rich notes of dried fruits and just a hint of umami.
