American Eagle 4yo Bottling Note

This tasty Bourbon is the work of American Eagle, distilled from a mash bill of 84% corn, so you can be sure there's buttery notes galore in here. The whiskey has been matured in American oak barrels for four years, and was treated to charcoal-mellow filtration before it was bottled at 40% ABV. Superb sipped neat, but also makes some great cocktails. Bourbon Sour, anyone?

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Orange marmalade and freshly toasted, buttered hot cross buns.

Palate: Seville oranges, toasty oak and earthy vanilla pod, with plump sultana and peppery oak.

Finish: Vanilla fudge and cinnamon swirls.

Not drinkable stay clear

What a waste of time putting this bad smelling foul tasting liquid in a bottle..... STAY WELL CLEAR and spend your money on recognised brand...

I can't believe what I'm reading (reviews), this is the worst bourbon I have ever tasted. I can't believe it's even 40% proof, it is very weak on any flavour and doesn't even try to save its self with any kind of alcohol kick. I got this for £15 and I wish I'd spent more and gotten a buffalo trace or jim beam devil's cut.

It's very young needs a bit more time to mature. worth a punt for something different. Not undrinkable.

Hat's off to American Eagle!

Amazed with the smoothness on this 4 Year Old from American Eagle. Works wonders on it's own with a couple of ice cubes. Also tried it in a Boulevardier (well maybe a few of them) and was surprised at how tasty it was. Great brand, and hoping we hear more from them! 5*****

American Eagle is a really good bourbon. I love it.

I've been hearing a lot about American Eagle on social media and so bought a bottle. It's a good as everyone says!

Incredibly tasty

I have been drinking bourbon for several years now starting out with just the regular JD, my husband brother me these a few day ago and I’m hooked, it’s indescribable, it’s Devine, we were worried it would taste like malt but no.

Whole lot of bourbon, soaring like an Eagle

Just an amateur bourbon guy here, adding to my Infinity Bourbon bottle, purchase.

To taste: Taken back like an expresso should be, short, fast & with a lot of air flow! this first sip opens up the floor to what is going to be, at least for me, an extremley rememorable bourbon. I get hit with an undeniable taste of apple, like good old roasted apple that you'd get in a pie. complementing this is a back ground note of cinnamon & as we all know apple pie & cinnamon is like a marriage made in dessert heaven. what follows are dark notes which are buttery & nutty like caramel that is taken close to burning & then brought back.

To nose: No real hit of ethanol even from a deep sniff due to its low ABV. Like from the taste you really get the sense of nutty butty & when i sit & think about it i feel it can only be reflected in brown sugar & i feel this reall opens the whiskey up.

The highlight of my day, & my first 4 review in terms of whiskey so far. Add another £10 on for me, heck make it £15, this in my eyes is truly memorable & of high class. Price, Nose & Taste are all sublime for me & something i will remember in time, certainly to pass onto new bourbon enthusiasts.

1 - Shite
2 - Potential but needs something else
3 - well rounded, sometimes confusing & needs refining
4 - simply memorable, not overplayed & a great lasting taste
5 - Perfection
