Inca Pisco 1980s

The Incan Empire is fascinating. It stretched across the west coast of South America from modern day Chile and Argentina (along the same latitude as central Uruguay) in the south, and into modern day Colombia in the north. In just a couple of centuries they rose from relative obscurity to create one of the greatest empires the world has ever seen, their control and influence spreading throughout the Andes based on organisation, innovative road systems and ingenious agricultural solutions that allowed for the peaceful assimilation of neighbouring populations. Those joining the federal system could enjoy many benefits including security, with guaranteed food supplies thanks to the Incan mastery over landscape and their climate. For this reason there was rarely any need for them to engage in pitched battles. Under the Sapa Inca, Andean South America was home to a prosperous and remarkable civilisation.

Then the Spanish conquistadors landed. Then somebody designed these Peruvian pisco decanters.
