Insider knowledge: Tamdhu Scotch Whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Tamdhu Scotch Whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
The nose is quite light with barley sweetness. Juicy cereal notes and grist, acacia honey and a hint of smoke. There are some notes of pastry and malty grains. The palate is very smooth and of medium-body. There are notes of sponge with crème anglaise poured over. Notes of aniseed and zest, marmalade and a little vanilla. As far as the "ageless" single malts go this one is far and away the most balanced. No off notes just clean warm inviting whisky.
