What's in a name? North British 12 Year Old 1997 (Signatory) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled North British 12 Year Old 1997 (Signatory) whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Grainy, quite bland. A little like vodka with a dash of bourbon in it. Oak, some quiet vanilla and corn.
Palate: Sweet, grains, very simple, with wheat. Reminds us of Belvedere vodka.
Finish: Medium, bittersweet.
