Tobermory 15 Year Old 1996 - Old Malt Cask (Douglas Laing)
This is a fifteen year old bottling of Isle of Mull distillers' Tobermory single malt whisky from Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask range.
The Old Malt Cask range began as a release of fifty bottlings in 1998 to commemorate Douglas Laing's fiftieth anniversary. Today they offer many, many more. All bottlings in the range are non-chill filtered and contain no naughty colouring.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Cigar box aromatics followed by malty oak, demerara sugar and spice.
Palate
Oaky, with nutmeg, cigar smoke and coffee granules.
Finish
Walnut, salt and syrupy malt mingling in a long finish.
Overall
Malt, salt and cedar; this is classic Tobermory excellently executed.
