Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Rosebank 19 Year Old 1990 - Old Malt Cask (Douglas Laing) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Rosebank 19 Year Old 1990 - Old Malt Cask (Douglas Laing) whiskey, rather than whisky.

Rosebank 19 Bottling Note

This 19 year old Rosebank was bottled under Douglas Laing's cracking Old Malt Cask range. Each whisky is bottled at their preferred bottling strength of 50%, usually from single casks. This was distilled in the Lowlands in February 1990, aged in a single refill butt and bottled as 670 bottles in December 2009.

Rosebank 19 Tasting Note

Nose: Floral, cereals, with caramelised banana.

Palate: Spicy. An unusual Rosebank this; thick with banoffee pie! Allspice and ginger ale in the background.

Finish: Sweet spices, that ginger ale note lasts for some time.
